Harmonic Heart Music Studio is committed to providing quality music education for people of all ages and musical backgrounds. Harmonic Heart Music Studio is rooted in the belief the music is a powerful tool for expressing emotion, gaining confidence, creating community, and healing ourselves and one another. Kathryn Claire brings a sense of joy, humor, vulnerability, patience and commitment to each of her students. Whether you are just beginning your musical journey, in the middle of it, or returning to it, Harmonic Heart Music Studio is a safe and inspiring place to be.
Kathryn Claire grew up in a musical family and started singing before she could speak and dancing at the age of 3. She cannot remember a time when she was not singing, dancing or performing during her early years. She began playing violin at the age of 7 and composing her own music. She taught herself to play guitar at the age of 16 and has spent years cultivating her own style and approach to music as a violinist, guitar player, singer, and songwriter.
Kathryn Claire has been performing and teaching professionally since 2010 and her music has taken her across the globe. Strong fundamentals from her classical and traditional music background combined with improvisation and a musicality and joy on stage has made her a favorite at venues, festivals and institutions around the world. She has toured, taught, and performed extensively in the US, Japan, India, Holland, Belgium and France.
Kathryn offers one on one lesson in voice, violin, guitar, ukulele and beginning piano/theory. She offers workshops in Songwriting for elementary age students and has shared this powerful and joyful workshop in Portland as well as in Japan and India. She has also offers songwriting workshops for adults.

- Parents are encouraged to sign their children up for a full term (fall, winter, spring) of classes which happen weekly. You can request availability or get on a waitlist by clicking through the contact form below.
- Adults can book in person or online lessons through Calendly. Lessons are 45mins or 1 hour. Check out the links below to schedule your first lesson today!
- Harmonic Heart Music Studio offers 2 musical recitals each year for students to share their music with family and one another.
